The Stanford Law School Free Tax Preparation Clinic will provide FREE virtual assistance this year, starting February 13. This year, the certified volunteers will partner with Get Your Refund to prepare your tax returns remotely, safely and securely. Here's how it works:
- Create an account at Get Your Refund and select the location Mitchell Park Library
- Fill out the questionnaire on the getyourrefund.org/uwba landing page
- Upload your relevant documents safely and securely
- The clinic volunteers will use these documents to prepare your tax return within a few weeks
We hope that the majority of our customers will use the Get Your Refund platform. However, if you would prefer not to upload your documents online, the clinic will provide limited slots available for assistance over Zoom. In this setting, you will enter a Zoom call with one of the certified tax preparers who will help you use the TaxSlayer software to personally prepare your tax return. No documents will change hands.
