  • Wireless Internet is available at all branches. No password or library card is required. Steps to Connect:

    1. Look for PA_OverAir_Library on your wireless device.
    2. Accept the policy and enjoy 2 hours of access. 

    After 2 hours, you can repeat the process for more Internet access. Please note that we cannot guarantee your equipment will work with our network. Palo Alto City Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's network.

  • Printing from a library computer
    1. Find the nearest print release station, or ask a librarian to help you find one
    2. Use your library card and PIN to sign in at a self service station
    3. Pay with cash, or by using the print account associated with your library card

    2. Use the email address used when sending your job to the print station to sign in at a self service station
    3. Pay with cash, or by using the print account associated with your library card

    Note that print jobs are automatically deleted at the end of each business day.

  • You can email your print jobs to a library printer either as an attachment to the email, or to print the email itself. Email printing is helpful in situations where it may be difficult to download a file that needs to be printed on a public computer in the library, or from a mobile device that cannot install the dedicated app.

    Instructions

    1. Select a printer location to email your print job to. Black and white printing is available at each location, while color printing is only available at Rinconada, Mitchell Park, and College Terrace.
    2. Send an email using the email addresses for each printer from the list below.
    3. If you are only printing the email itself, you will receive an automatic reply with a single job reference number.
      If you are printing the attachment to the email
      , a second job reference # is provided for the attachment.
      If you are printing both the email and the attachment, make sure to note both job reference numbers.
    4. Bring your Job Reference number(s) and email address to the library.
    5. Go to any Print & Pay Station to release your print job.
