Book to Action is a program of the California Library Association, supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. It takes the book club concept and expands it into a dynamic series of intergenerational events. Librarians work closely with community partners to collaborate on plans for discussions, a speaker event and a culminating service project. Contact for more information. The library has a history of convening conversations on complex issues facing the community. The viewpoints shared during these programs are of the organizations or participants involved, and not the City organization.
