Major Upgrades for BiblioCore Search! 🔍

Ok, an official staff announcement is on the way, but here’s the scoop: our catalog can now sync with external databases much faster. This means quicker access to the latest and greatest without jumping back and forth between vendor sites. This upgrade is already making it easier for customers to discover previously hard-to-find materials—definitely a step forward—but it also means we're starting to see more eHelp questions about lesser-known eBook and audiobook sources.

Yes, You Can Use Your Library Card in Smart Wallet Apps (But There’s a Catch) 💳

Fun fact: did you know you can add your library card to digital wallet apps like Apple Wallet and Google Wallet? We get this question a lot. It's convenient, but not a substitute for the physical version. If you lose your card, make sure to replace it promptly. Let met emphasize this one more time: you do still need to posses the physical library card to borrow, don't just throw it away.

BTW, Have You Visited the New eHelp Page? 🤯

Our eHelp page just received a refresh! Video tutorials are now easier to find, fonts are bigger, and Support Services added PDF handouts covering everything you need to know about audiobooks. These handouts include the same information available on NicheAcademy, but as a 1-page print out.

New: Introducing Library System Support Tickets for Staff 🎟️

We’ve launched a new support ticket system to streamline requests for library-related inquiries and technical issues. Here’s how it works:

  • Easy Submission: Submit requests to Support Services without needing to log into SharePoint or email. Amazing!
  • Trackable Progress: Monitor your ticket status directly in the Planner app (there's a link to this when you send the ticket).
  • Timely Assistance: Unsure whom to contact? I mean, aren't we all? Well in this case, just fill out a support ticket and on the other side we'll make sure it goes to the right person or department.

The ticket system is designed to make support requests simpler and faster, but doesn't replace other methods. Think of it more like an extra bike lane, not a replacement for the road itself. And if we take that metaphor one step further—be safe and wear a helmet!
