We are very happy to bring back the Seed Library at the Rinconada branch. At this time, we are stocked with a variety of vegetable, flower and native wildflower seeds. Available varieties are always changing so stop by throughout the spring summer to see what we have.
How the Seed Library works:
The Rinconada Seed Library is self-serve. This means that seeds are displayed on the main floor for patrons to browse through and take what they like. Seeds are pre-packaged- simply take an envelope for whatever seeds look interesting to you.
Seed Library Etiquette
Seeds are precious and we have a limited supply. In order to make seeds available to as many patrons as possible, please only take what you will realistically plant.
Help Grow our Seed Library
You can help us sustain the seed library for years to come by donating any unused seeds at the end of the planting season. And, if you want to take your gardening a step further, try saving seeds from you garden this year to contribute. See the booklists and websites linked below for seed saving resources.
If you grow plants from our seed library, we’d love to see your pictures! Tag us @paloaltolibrary and #PACLSeedLibrary!
