Inspired by this DIY project, pick up a greenhouse case "kit" from the recently re-opened ReBoot Room during the re:Maker fair on Saturday, September 10th!
Tips for Building
- Pick the right glue. We found E6000 craft glue works well, and other "tacky" glues were not the best option.
- Because several parts need to dry first, plan to make this project over at least 2 days.
- If you are using our free recycled CD cases, don't glue "spine to spine" without first removing the outer plastic slip.
- While the side walls are glued together, be extra careful moving the greenhouse around! The roof adds a lot of extra support.
We have a limited number of kits, so don't wait on September 10th. While you're at it, check out the Seed Library at Rinconada Library and grow your garden with native plants.
