Rediscover the beauty of California this summer! The Palo Alto City Library now has free California State Park passes!
In partnership with the State of California, the Palo Alto City Library is joining libraries throughout the state in offering free passes to enjoy our outdoor treasures. The California State Library Parks Pass, opens a new window is valid for day-use entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle.
How can I get a pass?
Passes can be checked out or reserved online, opens a new window at any of our branches. You can reserve the pass the same way you place a book or other item on hold. You just need an active library account in good standing.
Supplies are limited and restricted to one pass per family.
How long can I have it?
You can check out the pass for 2 weeks. Due to limited supply and to make sure other community members can access the passes, no renewals will be allowed. Passes kept 10 days past the due date will automatically be deactivated and cannot be used. Please help our community enjoy free access to our state parks by returning them in a timely manner.
