A lot of us would love to read - we just don’t know where to start, or just don’t have time to. Our lives can get so busy now that even opening a book can feel like it takes a bit too much time - time that we don’t have.
Here are some tips to get some pages in, no matter how busy you are →
Places:
📖 On the car ride
Car rides (or whatever ride you typically take) can get boring. Make use of that time!
📖 Waiting (for literally anything)
Oh my gosh no more long, tiring, and boring waits?!
📖 Bed
Reading before bed helps your mind calm down and can give you a better rest!
Tips:
📖 Try different formats
If a paper book is hard to carry around, try…
E-books, which are a lot more portable and smaller
Audiobooks, which are portable. Also, you can listen to them while you’re going somewhere (you can read *and* not worry about crashing into a tree)
📖 Read anything
Try being open. Even reading the news would count as reading and reading more often helps increase your reading speed and comprehension.
📖 Put them everywhere
Leave one in your car. Set a page of an e-book as your computer wallpaper every day, then when you have time read it.
Motivation:
📖 Set Goals
Start small. Maybe even one page, or half a page, or five minutes. Just keep track of it somewhere (writing it on your calendar helps) so you can see all your progress.
📖 Give yourself a reward
You read a chapter! Go get yourself something!
📖 Put a book everywhere
Anywhere you might get time to read make sure you have something to read with you. Having time but not having the read ~mood killer~
📖 The fact that you get to read!!
You get to finally read - do you actually need motivation after knowing that?
Go read now! →
